Chemeron dam restoration begins, raising water hopes in Baringo

With water access becoming an ever-present nightmare for millions of Kenyans, the government has begun the rehabilitation of the Chemeron Dam in Baringo County. In the two-phased plan, more than 10,000 people will be guaranteed access to clean water, with more than 6,000 acres of farmland irrigated to boost the country’s food security.
