Health officials in Bungoma County have confirmed one death linked to Mpox disease. Three other people who tested positive for Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) are undergoing treatment. The cases were detected at Bungoma County Referral Hospital, amid growing concerns about the spread of the virus through key border points. Dr. Caleb Wata, a senior health officer at Bungoma County Referral Hospital, confirmed that the deceased is a truck driver.
