The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fired a warning shot at the Kenya Football Federation following security breaches on Sunday during the Kenya vs the democratic republic of Congo match at Kasarani. The opening match of the Africa Nations Championship, Chan, witnessed fans breaking down a security barrier while others entered the Kasarani Stadium with drums and whistles. CAF has slapped Kenya with a KSh 2.91 million fine. Ksh 320,000 is suspended if Kenya does not repeat the violations. The Ministry of Interior and National Coordination is urging fans to show a sense of patriotism by adhering to conditions set by CAF on fan safety, security protocols, and crowd conduct.
