A section of Kitengela residents in Kajiado east has objected the nomination of Harold Kipchumba as an Odm member of parliament, a decision recently approved by Iebc. The residents decry that the process ignored regional and ethnic balance, sidelining the Maa community despite its strong presence in the area.

the odm youth league has also questioned the legality of the move, alleging that John Ketora was next in line on the party list. But IEBC insists the nomination met the requirements of the elections act and party-list rules.
