Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured UDA aspirants of free and fair nominations in the upcoming by-elections, insisting no party leader will impose candidates. He urged consensus among contenders but maintained that, if need be, the party will go to the ballot. Kindiki also took a swipe at the opposition, calling them weak and directionless. Elsewhere, Kenya Kwanza leaders warned against tribal politics, accusing opposition figures, including former DP Rigathi Gachagua, of fueling division.
