The government is raising the alarm over rising cases of suicides in Nyeri County, as a result of increased mental health challenges. The problem, which is attributed to an increase in drugs and substance abuse, has forced the government to establish a national multi-agency team to curb the menace. While calling for continuous guidance and counselling services to residents, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, who is in the county for the 32nd Jukwaa la Usalama, has once again warned of the resurgence of gangs in Central Kenya.
