The exercise of excavating and exhuming graves discovered in the Kwa Binzaro area in Kilifi County has officially started today. 27 graves are scheduled to be excavated in the area. The operation, led by officers from the homicide unit, kicked off on the strength of a court order obtained by the police following the discovery of human remains, mass graves, and the arrest of some eleven suspects from the area.. Activists have demanded transparency in the exercise to ensure that those involved in the killings are brought to justice.
