Family, friends, and the AMREF Flying Doctors community have eulogized the late nurse Jane Omusula as a person who went beyond the call of duty to save lives. In a funeral service to celebrate her life, those who interacted with the 41-year-old nurse described her as a professional whose tireless commitment to patients was emulated by many. The late Jane, who was among six people who died after their plane crashed in Mwihoko, Kiambu County, two weeks ago, was on a mission to save the life of a two-year-old child in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
