GOVERNMENT WOOING NORTHEASTERN REGION FOR SECOND TERM SUPPORT IN 2027

The government's political wing is courting the Northeastern region for support in the next general election in 2027, promising equal distribution of resources and development projects. The team, led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, is riding on the recently launched development projects, the reopening of the Garissa regional immigration office and the abolishment of the ID vetting process in the region, which had been a challenge for the local residents.
