Murang’a villages get power as gov’t allocates KSh 1.2B for electrification

    Residents of Njambi Road and Thirikwa villages in Kangema, Murang’a County, can now breathe a sigh of relief as electricity has been installed in their homes.The electrification project was launched by Energy Principal Secretary Alex Wachira, who assured residents that the ministry has allocated 1.2 million shillings to ensure more homes in Murang’a are connected to the national grid. Out of 16 million households in the country, 4.8 million are still without electricity.
