Even as the bicameral parliament prepares to begin induction and swearing in of the newly elected legislators later this week, the senate will be receiving its youngest member yet since inception, as 31 year old Nyandarua senator elect John Methu gears up to join the house. The youthful Methu trounced 7 other candidates including the outgoing senator Mwangi Githiomi, beating his closest rival with a margin of 120,000 votes.
