Kenya had a false start in their return to international cricket with a five wicket thrashing at the hands of visiting Nepal at the Nairobi gymkhana club. Kenya elected to bat and managed 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Opening batsmen Alex Obanda and Collins Obuya were out for a paltry 20 runs. Irfan Karim Stedied the ship with 34 runs from 44 balls before he was caught by Sandeep Lamichhane. Lucas Oluoch then came in and added 31 runs not out. On the Nepal side, they had a false start with opening batsman pawan sarraf caught for only one run after facing six balls. Dipendra Singh's 33 runs plus aarif sheikh's 24 not out pusshed nepal to a total of 133 for the loss of 5 wickets in 19.2 overs. The two teams square out again on Friday at the same venue.
