Institute of Engineers of Kenya wants quacks arrested

The 32nd International Convention of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) concluded with calls to eliminate unqualified practitioners from the country’s engineering sector and strengthen local expertise in major infrastructure projects. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Lamu Governor Issa Timamy urged IEK to step up efforts against quacks, whose poor workmanship has contributed to building collapses and failing public infrastructure.
