President William Ruto now says Kenya is charging forward to be a first-world country. Speaking during the National Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo stadium in Nairobi, President Ruto said his government has consolidated the gains of political independence and the nation is heading to economic freedom. The Head of State also disclosed development plans for next year, including building of a new expressway from Thika to Nairobi, dualling of Ngong road and renaming of Talanta stadium to Raila Amollo Odinga international stadium.
