COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has denied allegations of sidelining workers, reaffirming his commitment to championing the welfare of Kenyans organized under their respective trade unions.
Speaking in Kisumu, Atwoli said the dissenting opinions are being pushed by a section of opposition political leaders, whose ultimate motive is to reduce the influence of trade unions in the country. His defense comes a week after some workers in the flower farms of Naivasha expressed dissatisfaction over claims that Atwoli was prioritizing politics over their welfare.
