ver 400 students at a public school in Kajiado East are set to benefit from a newly launched water project aimed at addressing water scarcity and food insecurity in the region.
Students of Senior Chief Mutunkei Public School in Kajiado East, alongside members of the local community, will soon have access to clean water following the drilling of a borehole through a partnership between a non-governmental organization and the Kajiado County Government.
The project was officially launched by Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and is expected to benefit more than 400 learners at the institution.
Speaking during the launch, the governor noted that the initiative will play a key role in improving food production at the school while easing the effects of hunger in the drought-prone county.
