The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Nairobi branch has suspended its nationwide strike for 30 days. The union says its members will resume work starting Monday to give the County Government a chance to address its issues. It has, however, warned that doctors will resume the strike if their grievances are not addressed within 30 days. The Medics boycotted work for the last 40 days, citing failure by the county government to promote doctors for the past five years. They are also protesting a non-functional SHA cover.
