Message: The Coast region recorded a significant reduction in crime incidents in 2025, with only 1,092 cases reported by the end of the year, down from 1,254 cases in 2024 and 2,101 cases in 2023. The decline points to improved security coordination between police and local communities. Speaking during a prayer and thanksgiving ceremony held to mark the region’s end-of-year achievements, Coast Regional Police Commander Ali Nuno attributed the drop in crime to strong partnerships between security agencies and residents, as well as enhanced security strategies rolled out across the region.
