KWS contains major fire at Lake Nakuru, warns against reckless burning during dry season

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has successfully contained a fire that broke out and spread rapidly within lake Nakuru National Park. It took forest rangers and firefighters more than six hours to put it out. The incident comes just days after another major fire broke out at mount Longonot national park. Kws is now warning kenyans against lighting fires recklessly during the current dry season, to prevent the risk of wildfires destroying forests
