Locals in Bomwari battling a jigger infestation

Residents of Tabaka Ward in South Mugirango have been challenged to observe the highest levels of hygiene to help keep jiggers at bay. Speaking during an anti-jigger campaign in the region, public health experts said the flea remains one of the biggest health challenges facing locals there.
