Senate Health committee has absolved Thika Level 5 hospital from any blame in the death of Baby Travis who had a fork jembe lodged in his head. Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi appeared before the Senate committee accompanied by all medics who attended to the boy and defended their decision to refer the boy to the Kenyatta national hospital. The Kiambu team demonstrated the injury was too deep to be treated at level 5 hospital and required services of a referral hospital
