Health cabinet secretary Susan Nakhumicha has backed reforms being undertaken at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority to enhance efficiency in its operations. She however said imroved performance will have to go in tandem with addressing the welfare of staff. Speaking during a familiarization tour of KEMSA supply chain center in Embakasi, Nakhumicha urged KEMSA to embrace local prodution of drugs to lower costs of products. She said adoption of technology by KEMSA would enhance transparency and accountability.
