Tusker FC has been stripped off the 2021-2022 FKF premier league season title following a decision by the FKF to void the season. The executive committee met on Wednesday and decided to cancel all results from the season, meaning there will be neither promotion nor relegation. The new 2022-2023 season will kick off on the 19th of November, a day after the world cup 2022 kick off. The national super league will kick off a week later on the 26th of November. The decision gives a lifeline to Mathare United who were relegated before the end of the season for missing three matches. Mathare had indicated they had no funds to participate in the league not recognized by FIFA. Vihiga Bullets also gets a lifeline and will play again in the top tier league. The fixtures though are yet to be released ten days before kickoff.
