Migori Town was brought to a standstill on Thursday evening when two factions led by Suna West Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Masara clashed with Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko in a burial event in the Oruba area, Migori town.
The infights started when Migori Governor wanted to be the master of the event, something that rubbed the area MP, Peter Masara, the wrong way.
The burial, which took place in Oruba-Rangana Ward, on the outskirts of Migori town, escalated, and police had to intervene to disperse the rowdy crowd.
