The National Social Security Fund Board has picked David Mwangangi as the interim chief executive officer. In a statement, Mwangangi will take over from Anthony Omerikwa who has held the role as a substantive CEO since 2019. Prior to his appointment, Mwangangi has been the NSSF Manager Ethics, Integrity and Records. Mwangangi's tenure comes at a time when the new government administration plans to review the monthly contributions tenfold from the current two hundred shillings to two thousand shillings. The contributions were last reviewed in 2001 when the rate was increased to two hundred shillings from a hundred and sixty shillings.
