Clash erupts amid mourning in Emurua Dikirr; one injured, police fire in air

Police fired shots into the air after chaos erupted during condolence visits at the home of the late Emurua Dikir MP Johana Ng’eno in Mogondo, Narok County. The unrest followed a clash between two rival groups over political disagreements, turning an otherwise solemn gathering into a tense confrontation. Tensions escalated further when a popular local activist, accused of sowing division among communities in the area, was confronted by a group of youths. Meanwhile, at the late MP’s residence in Karen, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula led Members of Parliament in paying tribute to Ng’eno.
