Agriculture cabinet secretary Mithika Linturi says the government hasn't made a decision on whether or not to import maize into the country. The Cs says the country is still taking stock of the food deficit before it pronounces itself on the need to import or not. His sentiments come amidst a storm over the remarks made by his trade counterpart that the importation of maize was in the offing if farmers didn't dispose off their maize as fast as possible. He spoke after meeting the agriculture committee of the council of governors.
