A Kenya Defense Forces officer implicated in a fraudulent national police service recruitment syndicate has denied personally giving money to the suspect accused of the crime. Senior Sergent Antony Barongo claims the cash in question amounting to 2.4 million shillings was collected by a relative of Nelson Sereche who is said to be the mastermind of the scam.
