The U.S Kids-NCBA Nairobi local golf tour takes a one month break to resume on the 4th of January with the fifth tournament at the royal golf club. So far four tournaments have been held in Thika, Windsor, Karen and the latest one yesterday at the Muthaiga Golf Club. The battle for control is in the 15-18 year olds for both boys and girls. Maryam Mwakitawa has tightened her grip at the top after winning both tournaments over the weekend. She scored 84 in Karen and 87 in Muthaiga. Antonia Mbuthia improved from a gross of 96 in Karen on Saturday to 86 on Sunday behind Mwakitawa. Hazel Kuria also improved from Saturday’s 95 to 91 gross on Sunday. One of the biggest improvements of the weekend was in the boys 8 years category where Mikhail Ladak scored a gross of 46 to emerge the winner. He finished third on Saturday on 53 points.
