Safari rally driver Maxine Wahome has been released from police custody on a cash bail of 100,000 shillings pending investigations after she was arraigned for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm to her boyfriend Asad Khan. Milimani senior principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi ordered Maxine to report to the investigating officer at Kilimani police station once every week. Prosecution had requested to detain the rally driver for 14 days, after she was arrested on Jamhuri Day in her house in kileleshwa where the incident happened. Police say Asad who was admitted at Nairobi Hospital high dependency unit in critical condition with serious deep cuts on the right ankle has since been transferred to avenue hospital and is yet to record his statement.
