    The Kakamega forest is Kenya’s only surviving tropical rainforest. It's under intense pressure from local communities who depend on its resources for their livelihoods. And in an effort to conserve the Kakamega forest’s biodiversity, Women in Water and Natural Resources Conservation- a non -profit organization in Western Kenya (WWANC) has embarked on agro forestry, the concept of growing beneficial trees and food crops.
