Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya is calling on the political class to desist from politicizing the Mumias sugar company rebirth and operations as he backed the current investor Sarai Group. Salasya spoke during the burial of Agnes Ambutsi Ndeta in Mwitoti area in Kakamega County where he petitioned area governor Fernandes Barasa to set aside funds to aid the growth of sugarcane by the farmers to ensure continuous production for the company. Salasya further urged the youth in the region to come out and apply for the Uwezo fund.
