Garissa deputy county commissioner Solomon Chesut, has warned school heads and parents in the region, against transfer and registering of junior secondary learners as KCPE candidates. Speaking during the unveiling of 1,843 Elimu Scholarship and wings to fly beneficiaries in Garissa High School, Chesut accused some teachers of working with parents, to have students evade enrolment to junior secondary school, and instead register as KCPE candidates. The regional coordinator for education Yussuf Karayu, has already written to school heads and county directors of education, warning against the irregularity.
