Universities Academic Staff Union UASU has rejected the proposed bill that seeks to privatise public universities. UASU has said the move is a threat to freedom of the education sector in the country. The organisation together with the Kenya Universities Staff Union says poor students will be denied an opportunity to higher education as the move aims at benefiting children from well off families.
