Players in the country's energy sector continue to defend the latest proposal to increase power tariffs in the country. Speaking during the fourth stakeholder engagement, this time round in Garissa town, officials from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority and Kenya Power said the current prices were unsustainable hence the need to adjust. Kenya Power has subjected the application to the public in Nakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu and will be proceeding next to Nairobi and Mombasa.
