Ngoma za Burundi zenye mvuto ambazo ni mwiko kwa wanawake kuzipiga
Ngoma za Burundi zimekuwa kivutio kote duniani kutokana na midundo yake yenye mvuto na tayari ngoma hizi zimeshirikishwa katika filamu maarufu na albamu kadhaa kote duniani. Kutokana na ubora wake ngoma hizi sasa zinatambulika na Shirika la Umoja wa mataifa kuhusu Utamaduni Unesco kama urithi wa utamaduni usioonekana.
Kiasili ngoma hizi zilipigwa wakati wa sherehe maalum kama vile kuzaliwa kwa mtoto, mazishi na kutawazwa kwa mfalme. Lakini sasa serikali imepiga marufuku ngoma hizi kupigwa bila idhini ili kulinda mila zinazoendana na Ngoma za Burundi. Moja wapo ya mila hizi ni kwamba ni mwiko kwa mwanamke yoyote kuzipiga.
Hivi karibuni Idhaa ya Kiswahili ilikuwa Burundi ambapo ilipata fursa ya kutumbuizwa na kikundi kimoja cha Ngoma za Burundi ili kufahamu mengi kuhusu ngoma hizi.
