Agriculture and Livestock Development Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke has assured pastoralists in Samburu County of reliable access to water and fodder as the government steps up efforts to strengthen livestock production in arid and semi-arid areas. Speaking during the launch of the Nomotio Dam, a flagship project under the Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KeLCoP), Mueke said the investment will help cushion pastoralists against the harsh effects of drought while boosting productivity and incomes.
