Police in Lang’ata are investigating the circumstances under which their colleague shot dead his girlfriend and a neighbour before killing himself at Mugumoini chief's camp. The officer was on night duty in the company of two others is reported to have had excused himself to pick something from his house only for them to hear gunshots minutes later. He is said to have engaged in a heated argument with his girlfriend before their neighbour intervened only for the officer to shoot at her. He then went back to his house and closed the door before killing his girlfriend and turning the gun on himself. Police recovered his ak47 with 20 rounds of ammunition.
