It will be a reprieve for women who have been skipping vaccination sessions in kenya if the digital biometric-based vaccination management system developed for new born children will be implemented in Kenya.The new digital systems where biometrics are taken from a newborn and the parents seeks to keep track of the vaccination sessions in an effort to reduce newborn death .
Many children around the world continue to lose their lives at a very young age.
Governer Fatuma Achani thanked Japan Ambassador for the progress in the county.
In an efforts to increase vaccination coverage and help parents keep track and be keen in vaccination uptake, especially for diseases such as Rota virus , polio and measles , Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), NEC Corporation (NEC) and Nagasaki University, Japan, are undertaking a clinical trial of a digital biometric-based vaccination management system developed for new born children.
