Serikali imezindua bajeti ya shilingi trilioni 3.7, sekta ya elimu ikipokea mgao mkubwa zaidi. Shilingi bilioni 628.8 zilizotengewa sekta ya elimu zitatumiwa kuajiri walimu elfu 20 wa sekondari msingi na kujenga madarasa zaidi. Sekta ya miundomsingi imetengewa shilingi bilioni 250 ambapo shilingi bilioni 1.1 zitatumiwa kununua mabasi ya kisasa ya uchukuzi wa abiria. Waziri wa fedha Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u amesema bajeti ya mwaka huu inatilia maanani sekta tano muhimu katika ajenda ya makuzi ya uchumi.
