Treasury Cabinet Secretary Prof Njuguna Ndung’u has warned that National and County Governments’ pending bills had risen to 696.9 billion shillings by the end of March 2023. According to CS Ndung’u the spike has had Adverse impacts on micro, small, and medium enterprises with many struggling to meet their financial obligations. He revealed that The National Treasury has requested the cabinet to approve the establishment of a Pending Bills Verification Committee to verify and advise on how best to clear the pending bills
