Githunguri member of parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has defended her move to vote against the finance bill 2023, saying she will not be intimidated for standing with the masses on what she termed as punitive taxation measures, by the Kenya kwanza administration. Wamuchomba who spoke during a visit by president William Ruto in her constituency on Saturday, said she had listened to the voice of the people who were against some of the proposals in the bill. On his part, president Ruto defended the bill, saying proposals like the housing levy will resolve the issue of unemployment in the country.
