The driftwood sevens in Mombasa produced an entertaining final wit Kabras winning the tournament 10-7 in sudden death extra time in the second tournament of the national sevens rugby series. Oilers had the perfect start with Denis Abukuse rounding the Kabras defenders to score at the centre post. Just before half time, Kevin Wekesa drew Kabras level for a 7-7 half time score. In the second half, there were no further scores, forcing the game into sudden death extra time. Kabras converted a penalty in sudden death to win the match. Dala sevens winners KCB finished third after beating Strathmore Leos 29-12.
