The death toll from the second day of anti-government protests has now risen to 9 after two people were shot dead this evening in Kisumu County. Another person had succumbed earlier in the day, still in Kisumu. The latest deaths bring the number of those who have succumbed to police bullets since the resumption of the protests to 30. Several people in different parts of the country are nursing gunshot wounds with Kisumu alone reporting 16 patients.
