Civil society organisations in the country have condemned the use of excessive force by police in dealing with protesters during the last round of protests called by Azimio leaders. The organisations under the umbrella, Uchaguzi Platform, say police should adhere to the constitution in executing their mandate failure to which they should carry individual responsibility. The group is also calling for the revival of the bipartisan talks to resolve the current impasse.
