Five people were today injured in Eldoret after two rival groups clashed following a fierce land tussle involving veteran athletics legend Kipchoge Keino. Police lobbed tear gas cannisters and shot in the air to disperse a charged crowd that was barring the demolition of structures, sitting on part of a disputed 150-acre piece of land, embroiled in tussle between Kipkorom Kemboi family and Kipchoge Keino. The tussle comes fresh on the heels of an order issued by an Eldoret court on Monday, staying a preceding ruling issued in July, that granted the Kipkorom family ownership of the disputed piece. And as Laura Otieno reports, Kipchoge has maintained that he is the bonafide owner of the property which he says he bought in 1972.
