Humphrey Mulongo: New KRA boss says he’ll seal gaps leading to revenue loss

    The Kenya Revenue Authority will be expanding its tax net by leveraging on technology, to seal any tax gaps leading to revenue losses. This is according to the newly sworn in commissioner general Humphrey Mulongo, who says Kenya may finally hit the 3 trillion shilling tax mark in the next financial year, with the enactment of the national tax policy.

    The new authority boss, who fills the shoes of resigned former CG Giithi Mburu, says he is looking to shake up the tax collection agency, to ensure smooth and efficient running of affairs in the institution.
