Women living with fistula share their story

The birth of a child is often a joyful experience, but for women living with fistula, shame, and ostracization often turn childbirth into an ordeal. A group of fistula survivors under the let’s end fistula initiative have come together to form support groups that provide women with free medical treatment and psychosocial support. The women are now urging others living with the condition to come forward to end the stigma around the disease
