Hawker shot dead with arrow in Mbeere North

Residents of Kanyuambora in Mbeere North were left in shock after a hawker, Simon Njiru Kiura, was fatally shot with an arrow in broad daylight. Witnesses said Njiru, who was selling assorted goods along the Kanyuambora–Kamumu road, was confronted by a man identified as Nicholas Mugendi. Mugendi allegedly drew a bow and fired an arrow that pierced Njiru’s chest, killing him instantly. The motive behind the brutal attack remains unclear.
