St. Teresa Hospital defends itself amid ICU negligence outcry

The management of St. Teresa Maternity and Nursing Home has denied allegations of negligence in the death of a woman who died after having delivered a baby through cesarean section at the facility. St. Teresa Maternity and Nursing Home says medics tried their best to save Phyllis Wanjiku’s life. Wanjiru was referred to the Kenyatta National Hospital after developing complications as a result of the surgery she had undergone at the local facility. She died in the KNH intensive care unit, with her relatives blaming the St. Teresa Kikuyu maternity hospital.
